SEPTIC TANK SERVICES

Birmingham Drain Services have been helping residents and building owners to manage their off-mains drainage safely, effectively and reliably for many years. Septic tanks are a popular solution for properties without a mains sewer connection however they do need regular emptying and maintenance to avoid costly repairs or replacements. Regardless of your tank’s size, it must be emptied on a regular schedule. CESS PIT - CESSPOOL SERVICES AND MAINTENANCE

A cesspit or cesspool is a sealed underground holding tank designed to receive and store foul wastewater. The disadvantage with a cesspit is that the only way to remove the waste is with a suction tanker and will require emptying every 45 days or so, depending on use. Cesspits are usually the last option to consider for sewage treatment but sometimes, they are the only choice when needing a private sewage system away from the mains and are needed when the ground conditions are not suitable for other options. Another reason to choose a cesspit is when the proximity of local water courses prevents the use of other private systems, such as septic tanks and soakaways.

DE-SILTING

Birmingham Drain Services clean, unblock and de-silt drain and sewer pipes, using the latest high-pressure jetting equipment we break up the silt and force it to the next downstream manhole, along with any other debris. From there, the matter is vacuumed out into the tanker, before being disposed of responsibly making it easy for our customers to follow their environmental management obligations.

PLANNED PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE (PPM)

Efficient and successful contract and service delivery is something which is a by-product of a well thought out planned programme and project management, created by a team working together and sharing best practice. Where possible, Birmingham Drain Services will always look to deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) works. This allows for prioritised spend to be used for maintenance activities, thus reduces the need for reactive services. Our sewer jet vacuumation service is the key to good housekeeping and sewer maintenance.

Jetting the sewer pipes forces silt and debris forward until it arrives at the next downstream manhole or access point, where it is vacuumed out by one of our advanced jetting and vacuumation tanker. This jetting and vacuumtion service is also effective for interceptors, septic tanks, chambers and soakaways.
